Daocheng Yading China
In 1933 the English writer James Hilton first introduced the magical place called Shangri-La in his novel, Lost Horizon. But the exact location of this imaginable wonderland had always been debatable except that it was estimated to be located somewhere near the border between the Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. Finally a little town in the Yunnan province was renamed as Shangri-La. However, the debate still carries on.
Regardless of wherever Shangri-La is, Daocheng/Yading (稻城/亞丁) in Sichuan is generally accepted as the soul of Shangri-La.
Here is a preview for your initial enjoyment. Please stay tuned for the next update.
